1: Be respectful to all members.
Harassment and/or bullying of fellow members is not permitted. Please hold yourself to the standards you hold to others. Furthermore, it is important to be mindful that respect differs from person to person. If someone approaches you and tells you not to continue a behaviour because it is making them uncomfortable, it is expected that you comply with their request. Failure to do so will result in a mute or ban.
2: NSFW content (porn, gore, etc) is forbidden.
This includes all forms of media, and text.
3: Racism, sexism or other hate/discriminatory language is strictly prohibited.
This includes racial slurs. Loopholes and/or derivatives of such terms and so forth are also prohibited. The server uses automod to automatically block such words from being used. Note that this is not an exhaustive measure, and any attempt to bypass or game the system will result in a mute or ban.
4: No elitism/toxicity.
This server is a mixture of multiple gaming communities. Everyone is equal, so please avoid creating any form of unnecessary drama.
5: Raiding/trolling will result in an immediate ban.
For raids, we will report any accounts involved directly to Discord.
6: Do not impersonate another member or admin.
Role playing and mini-modding are forbidden.
7: No spamming.
Spam clutters channels and makes them difficult to follow.
8: No discussion of sensitive information.
This server is not the appropriate place for these discussions and we would appreciate avoiding creating any unnecessary arguments. Ask admins for clarification in regards to what are considered sensitive topics.
9: Do not ping admins without reason.
This includes pinging admins excessively/obnoxiously in an attempt to get their attention.
10: No witchhunting.
There may be people that you meet that you do not get along with. This does not give you permission to make their experience worse. If you have any problems, please try to resolve them politely or message a moderator for assistance.
11: Use your head.
See appendix A.
Breaking any of the above rules will result in either a mute or a ban from the server (at the discretion of the admins).
With all of that out of the way, enjoy your stay!
"Use your head", or "Rule 11" as it will be henceforth called, is as straightforward as it appears. If you are able to partake in discussions or other social interactions without any major issues, then you should be fine. If you're not confident or have been warned for breaking Rule 11, read on.
We want to be welcoming to as many people as possible and we want everyone to enjoy themselves. However, the reality is that it's impossible to accommodate everyone at once. We try our best to accommodate as many people as possible, but this means we occasionally will have to step in if we believe an individual or group is causing others to feel uncomfortable, frustrated or otherwise unwilling to interact with them. There are many reasons why this could be the case, and in line with our goals of accommodating as many people as possible, our initial course of action will to be to assist in explaining the cause and how to prevent it. If people don't learn their lesson (because they don't use their head) and problems persist, then we don't really have a choice but to mute or ban people.
Common ways of breaking Rule 11 include:
* Being overly rude, hostile or antagonistic
* Bullying/trolling
* Being consistently wrong or incomprehensible
* Otherwise creating awkward situations, or being egregiously annoying such that people would rather you left them alone
The moderation team uses their own discretion to decide if someone breaks Rule 11 enough to warrant action being taken.
